OMGBFFLOL

January 28th, 2012 § Leave a Comment

You like crazy parties? What a coincidence, so do we!
The master students of the Modeacademie (Fashion Academy) hold a party on the 10th of February with the promising name OMGBFFLOL in the Roxy Club. The Vice website  announces that there will be gigs, auctions and “crazy things”, whatever that may be (I’d like to see a circus act!). It starts at eleven, but if I were you, I would not wait until the tenth itself to pick an outfit. You’ll stand more out of the crowd with a standard outfit than if you go dressed as a peacock! See it as your moment to wear the clothes and accessories you never dared to leave the house with.

Review Fash!on/off

December 13th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

Hey guys,

What a weekend, huh? So much to do, so little time. I must say, when I went to the documentary of Loïc Prigent last Sunday, I think it was a pity that I had not gone to the other documentaries. The three documentaries I did see, were really good! Normally, there were only two documentaries planned: the one about Nina Ricci and the Jeremy Scott film, but fortunately for us, the documentaries were shorter than they had thought, so they gave us one more: a film about Versace. I really liked that they did that, because the Versace documentary happened to be the best of the three. « Read the rest of this entry »

Fash!on/off

Fash!on/off

You already know this, I guess, but today starts the first Antwerp fashion filmfestival!
You can see different fashion documentaries in Cinema Zuid until this Sunday. The documentary I am going to see is the documentary: “The day before: Nina Ricci & Jeremy Scott“. Not that I don’t want to see the other documentaries, it’s just that I don’t have the time for it because of other priorities (my boyfriend, for instance). But I think that “The day before” is a good choice, because I love the excitement before the shows and how the models are rushing to get ready. That’s why I also love Fashion TV! Besides, the backstage is where the magic begins, right? Nina Ricci is also one of my favourite fashion houses.

An other documentary I would have liked to see, is “An Evening With Serge Leblon” that is shown tonight. Mostly because I’m very interested in photography (duh!). It could be very useful and  interesting to see the view of other photographers. But again, unfortunately I haven’t the time, but I do recommend it.

The Kissinger afterparty is this Saturday. Be there, because I have the feeling that it is going to be a very wild night!

Winter (flea) market

December 4th, 2011 § 3 Comments

This winter the shelter in Park Spoor Noord is your after-skibar. As soon as you walk in, you smell the glühwein and hot chocolate, served in a chalet. You really do feel on a mountain top in Austria here. Today until 18h there is a flea market. For the lovers of second-hand clothing, there is more than enough choice. Underneath the industrial construction of the shelter, you almost feel on a market somewhere in London. People even seemed dressed appropriately: leather shoes and long coats or boho chic. Next weekend the Christmas market is set up, you can find more information on the Winterdorp website.

EDIT: On the 15th of January there is another flea market in the shelter.

S/S’12

We were invited to the Press days from Listen Up and to the Welcome Day (Blogger’s night) from Oona and we’ve  seen a lot of trends coming up for Spring/ Summer 2012! Take a pen and a paper, because here are our tips to be the most fashionable girl on the street!

- PINK: The color was everywhere! Pink pants, sweaters, T-shirts, lingerie…  Don’t forget the accessories : shoes, bags (as a matter of fact, you really should buy a clutch. I prefer a large, casual clutch in snake leather… fake of course)  necklaces and so on. The shade of pink doesn’t really matter. Greyish pink, fuchsia, it all works!

- KNITTED SWEATERS: Already a hit, but now you know you can keep them in your closet. Or, maybe, just buy a new one. Or two… But if you’re handy, knit one yourself !

- JUMPSUITS: Everyone should have one, but if you don’t: put it on your list! And if we may help you: Object has a great one in their Summer/Spring collection, and not expensive at all!

- VINTAGE: I think your boyfriend will like this: vintage in your underwear is a big go go! Think pink once again, but also high waisted underpants, (black, brown, white) lace, see trough, stocking suspenders, bows and so on. Ladies, be elegant and irresistible!
