The 500 Hidden Secrets of Antwerp

… and Antwerpen Streetstyle is one of them!
Only this week we found out that we are featured in the travel guide The 500 Hidden Secrets of Antwerp by Derek Blyth. So what is the first thing I did? I rushed to the book store and bought myself a copy!
Derek Blyth wrote a similar guide for Brussels a few years ago, so Antwerp was the logical next step. With the help of a few locals (a.i. Stéphanie Duval from 70percentpure) he put together an original guide that consists of about a hundred lists. From the tastiest bakeries to the best shops for Antwerp design, from the least known streets to the cutest B&Bs: Blyth covers a wide region of subjects.
I love the fact that the book gives me the impulse of discovering all the corners and alleys I have not visited yet. In some aspects it is as if I see the city again for the first time, in other aspects I just feel proud of living in such a beautiful place. 500 Hidden Secrets especially reveals the romantic side of Antwerp. Think of the beautiful Medieval houses in the old town or a unique shop like Steen & Been at Volkstraat.
So where does Antwerpen Streetstyle come in? Not very surprisingly in the section ‘The 5 best Antwerp blogs‘. We feel incredibly honoured to be featured in such a beautiful publication and are happy to represent our lovely city on the internet. Thanks a lot, Derek!
