(Con)temporary Fashion Days

This Thursday to Sunday (19-22 April) the Flanders Fashion Institute organizes the (Con)temporary Fashion Days. The concept is simple yet brilliant: designers offer past collections for a low price. Big names like Ann Demeulemeester and Dries van Noten take part, and there is a kids store too. At these stock sales you can also buy fabrics (± €30/meter), excellent for creative sewers! The CFD pop-up store in the Kloosterstraat gives room to 15 brands like Black Balloon, Girls From Omsk and La Fille d’O. See the flyer here.
Something we’d love to try for ourselves is the Stockverkoop Tour on Saturday the 21st, organized by stylist and MoMu guide Tanguy Ottomer. Ottomer tells about Belgian designers on a bike ride past their workplaces, which you can afterwards visit. The tour only costs 10 euros. More info on his website.
